About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Inner Compass web application at innercompass.tech and the Inner Compass mobile app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
Inner Compass is a wellbeing companion. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not replace professional care. If you are in crisis, please use the resources on our Safety page or call an emergency line.
1. Who provides the Service
The Service is operated by Inner Compass B.V., [PENDING VERIFICATION: legal address], [PENDING VERIFICATION: KvK/trade-register number].
2. Eligibility
You must be 16 or older to create an Inner Compass account. If you use Inner Compass through an organisation (an employer, care provider, or GGZ organisation) additional terms from that organisation may apply.
3. Accounts and access
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secret. Notify us at support@innercompass.tech if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Access to Inner Compass is currently invite-only. You may be invited by an organisation or request access on our website.
- We may suspend or end access to accounts that violate these Terms or that threaten the safety of others.
4. What Inner Compass does
- Lets you keep gentle check-ins, reflections, and a recovery plan.
- Offers an AI Companion that can chat with you, remember helpful context you allow, and suggest small next steps.
- Optionally shares aggregate, anonymised wellbeing patterns with an organisation that sponsors your account — only when you have given explicit consent and only above a minimum group size that prevents re-identification.
- Optionally shares individual signals with a care provider you invited, again only where you have consented.
5. What Inner Compass is not
Inner Compass is not a medical device, therapist, diagnostic tool or emergency service. AI Companion replies are generated by a language model, may be wrong, and must not be used as medical advice. In an emergency call your local emergency number.
6. Subscriptions, trials and pricing
Inner Compass may be offered as a paid subscription, as a 7-day free trial for consumer accounts, or free of charge when your organisation covers it. [PENDING VERIFICATION: current pricing, trial rules and cancellation terms — these must be confirmed before publication.]
7. Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Don't use the Service to harass, threaten or harm others.
- Don't upload content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Don't try to identify individuals from aggregate/anonymised data you may be shown as part of an organisation dashboard.
8. Content you create
You keep ownership of the reflections, notes and other content you put into Inner Compass. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display that content for the sole purpose of running the Service for you (see the Privacy Policy for details).
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, or from the public page at innercompass.tech/delete-account. Deletion removes or anonymises your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and changes
We try to keep the Service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change features, add or remove functionality, and update these Terms. Material changes will be announced inside the app.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inner Compass B.V. is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by mandatory law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be brought before the competent Dutch courts, except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
